The Faculty of Dentistry's Diploma is given to the students who have completed all of the five years period.
Education and training time is five years in faculty of Dentistry and is organised according to year principal.
Atatürk University, of Dentistry Faculty accepts student who have high school diploma and take enough points (MF-3) to the YGS and LYS exams which are made by ÖSYM.
For the lessons which are taken from other high education institution and are approvriate for exemption in Atatürk University undergraduate and graduate education and examination regulation; success marks of lesson/lesons which are requested for exemption, must be CC letter grade at least or equivalent according to 27 th item of the regulation. For the lessons which successful/unsuccessful in teaching programs; the students, who are successful without looking for CC letter mark or equivalent, are exempt from these lessons. The lessons which are appropriate exemptions, are shown M letter grade on the transcript document.
Passing class system is applied at the Faculty of Dentistry. The students, who failed more than one lesson exempt commen obligatory lessons, cant pass to the upper class. Joining to the lesson, being successful at pratical exams and pratical aplications are necessary for passing to the upper class with failed one lesson. The student, WHO is successful at application but unsuccessful at theoreticial exam,continues to the upper class as obligator. The student deesn't have to join to the lesson which the student failed, they only join end-of-year exam and/or make-up exam with marks of midterm exam. İf they fail at these exams they can't pass to the upper class. They only join to these lesson's axams.

Our faculty has started to the education with 18 students in 1971-1972 academic year and it gave first graduates 1976,since İt's faundation it has educated a lot of instructors, specialists, general practitioner dentists and sent to almost every region of our country to serve at universities and hospitals. Until now, it graduated 1954 dentists.
Specialized training entrance exam (DUS) is made at least twice in a year by ÖSYM.
Academic Year 2017-2018 ONLY 1 of graders;
1-In calculating the grade of the student Absolute Rating System is applied.
(2) final at the Faculty / year-end, integration, training and pass notes dams in at least 60 single-course exams. This score (except for internships and single course) is the sum of midterm or final exam contribute to the final contribution. Midterm average score, the scores obtained by dividing the number of midterm midterm made of the total. Mid-term exam passing score contributes to the average score of 40%, the contribution to the expiration of the term or end-points score is 60%. 40% being converted into a floating point number in full Midterm average score is taken. Final at the Faculty / year-end, integration, and training is compulsory in only 60 taking course exams.
2017-2018 ONLY OTHER graders in the academic year;
While calculating one lesson's base mark,average of midterm exams is %30, end-of-year exam's effect is %70. While calculating success mark of the student WHO join to the make up exams, İt is applyied avaluation rules at the end of the half-year exams or end of year exams.'Relative Rating System' is applied to calculate success mark of student. According to the 'Relative Rating System' maximum value of DKL is 35, value of al is 50 for success marks. At faculty, passing limit mark of of end of year exam make-up exam and single-course exam is 50 except at training exams. The student WHO gets one of AA,BA,BB,CB,and CC marks succeed at lesson. FF mark is given to the student WHO failed the lesson. The student WHO gets FF mark is uncsuccessfull at the lesson.
Faculty of Dentistry's diploma is given to the students who complete applications trainings and all of the lessons which the student have to learn in Faculty of Dentistry.
İn Faculty of Dentistry education-training time is five years, education-training is organised according to year principle. But some lessons are semi-annual. Training in the basic dentistry sciences are given in fist two years of education training time, training in the clinical dentistry scences are given in lest three years.
