Master degree in Social Studies Teaching
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree that Institute of Educational Sciences have determined are required to provide the minimum score of 55 from ALES in the relevant field. Applicants are rated from top to down according to their scores consisting of 60% of their ALES scores and 40% of their cumulative GPAs. Foreign applicants are required to have a BA diploma with a certificate of equivalence (official document obtained from YÖK - Higher Education Council of Turkey), and to have the minimum score (70) from 100 points in Turkish Proficiency Exam
Students who have done their Bachelor degrees in Social Studies Teaching program can be directly admitted to the department. However, the students who have received their Bachelor degrees from other fields can be accepted to the program only after taking required preparation courses in one academic year (two semesters).
In order to receive a Master of Science degree in Primary School Teaching field, students have to successfully complete compulsory and elective courses, give a seminar about their thesis subjects, and present and defend a review or original research thesis.

The purpose of history teaching masters program is to train history educators who has up to date field and professional knowledge at the level of expert and who can use this knowledge for the purpose of research and education

These students can work as a teacher in public and private schools.
The students who have done their master in Social Studies Teaching program can do Ph.D. in the same or different programs.

Successful completion of all courses equivalent 120 ECTS credits and succesful defence of Master Thesis
