Students who can complete their education successfully are given pre-graduate licence degree in the field of Radio and Television Program Production.
Radio and Television Program Production is a 120 ECTS Credit – 2 year Short Cycle (Associate's Degree) programme. Radio and Television Program Production meets the requirements by both the ECTS credits and level descriptors of the short cycle degree (5. levels) qualifications of the Turkish Qualifications Framework for HE (TYYÇ, NQF-HETR).
Students who graduate Vocational high-school and Vocational College are admitted according to the result of examination which is performed by selection and Placement Center of higher-education and these students must sufficiently point, and they must have special requirements. Also, students are admitted to the programs through horizontal transfer. These transitions are regulated by an instruction students can make transition under the number and transition conditions which were pre-announced before and they can realize this procedure between diploma programs of different higher-education foundations or diploma programs within the same higher-education.
Atatürk University recognizes the lessons learned in another institution based on the principle of life-long learning. The learning outputs of these courses are exempted from the graduation credit if they are compatible with the program at Ataturk University. The compliance and exemption of learning outcomes are decided by the Council of Higher Education in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
In order to graduate from the program, a student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses, -Get minimum 120 ECTS credits in total, -Achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00, and have no FF grades -Must be completed a summer practice during 30 working days (8 ECTS credits). Graduates of the Program in Radio and Television Program Production are employed in companies, organizations and public corporation engaged in radio and television business.
Graduates of the Radio and Television Program Production are required to take the Vertical Transfer Examination from Associate to Undergraduate Degree Programs (DGS) held by the Evaluation, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in order to transfer to an on-campus or open education undergraduate program. Information on application requirements, programs, quotas, admission procedures, exam, assessment and placement is announced every year in the DGS guide.
A midterm and a final exam is given for each course carried out in the programs. The effect of Midterm exam (?) to success grade is 40 % and the effect exam of final exam is 60 % . Students must attend courses and fulfill attending requirements of the regulations in order to have final exams. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Relative evaluation system is applied for evaluating students success grade . In this evaluation, the course instructor takes in to consideration the statistical result of grades that students attending courses take from midterm, year in and year end exams and these results are converted to letter as system with four under the terms defined in the instruction. . If students WGPA consisting of grades which students take is under 2 in successive two terms, they can’t take any courses in the next term. If a student takes AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course, he/she can be accepted as successful. DC and DD grades taken from a course are evaluated in terms of depending on students granduation of WGPA. If a student’s WGPA is over success grade , these courses are defined as successful, but in midterm and year in or enr, this letter grades are evaluated with their coefficients in the calculation of WGPA. FF grade is given to students whofail the course in question. Student who takes FF grade must meet conditions dealing with attending and exam by taking this course in the first semester or year. Success grade of courses, referred to as M and G isn’t included in the calculation of WGPA.
It is necessary that students can be successful from the courses defined in teaching program and can complete credit hours (a minimum of 120 ECTS) successfully and get at least 2.00 weighted GPA and also they must be successful for their 30 day-training in order that they can graduate Atatürk University Erzurum Vocational College.
