The students will be placed according to their grades obtained from Student Selection Exam and SSE L.3. For further information, please visit www.osym.gov.tr website. Each year, approximately 40 students are admitted to our department.
Students can be admitted from institutions whose equivalence adopted by the Council of Higher Education. And college graduates who are successful in vertical transfer exam to receive a bachelor's degree may be admitted to be able to continue their education. These students taking courses in the college where they graduated earlier by the relevant department and managed to be determined by taking into account orientation courses are done. The recognition of prior non-formal and formal education are at an early stage in higher education institutions of Turkey. Atatürk University, and thus part of this situation is no exception. However, each semester examination is being held for the level of English language and previous foreign language education is recognized in this way. Students may be exempted from these courses in the curriculum if they receive a passing grade.
Students must be successfull and/or pass all courses on the programme including graduation thesis and internship that are explained education and exam regulation of Ataturk University.
The aim of our department is to teach Russian Language, one of the European languages that is preferred to learn the most effectiveway. To make them to have cumulative in the area of literature, art andculture as well as a rich grammar is given our students. It is one of the mostimportant our purposes to enlighten them as cultivated and enlightenedindividuals in the area of foreign language and literature.
Russian Language and Literature department graduates play a role professionally both in the public and private sector. They can work as foreign language lecturer, academician in several higher education institutions and Russian teacher in institutions of the Ministry of National Education. Also, they can work in institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and military. And they can work as interpreter in the various institutions in the private sector, banking sector and tourist guides.
The graduates holding Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply to Master’s Degree programmes at national level and /or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. Students who are high honor students are also eligible to apply to doctorate degree at Ataturk University.
Russian Language and Literature Program for each course at least one of the midterm and final exam. Success midterm exam grades 40, 60 of the ratio of the final exam.
