Students studying at the University of Atatürk, some courses may be exempt under certain regulations. Atatürk University, the course taken at another institution with the content of the course content and the respective faculty / institute / college if it is approved by the board, the student may be exempted from this course.

Transportation both in local and countrywide scale is important and has complex relationships with various factors. The recent changes in daily life around the world generated a demand to live more comfortably, safely and use time more efficiently. The role of safe and fast railway transportation in industrial and economic growth is well understood in our country as well. The new concepts in signalling and traffic administration made it easier to manage complex networks of railways. Railway has a greater role in transportation. The need of skilled labour trained in modern methods in construction and maintenance is a growing demand. The construction of subways also generated a demand in skilled technicians. The purpose of the program opened in Vocational School of Horasan is to train technicians who are highly skilled and equipped with technical information and appliances in the industry, and have a high sense of responsibility and mission.
Students who graduate from this program are employed, in accordance with the qualifications they have gained, in organizations and institutions in the railway sector such as TCDD, Tülomsaş, Estram, Burulaş, İzmir Metro A.Ş.
Graduates can access to Bachelor’s degree programme on condition that they get required degree after DGS exam.
Students assignments, projects, intermediate and final examinations is determined by evaluating the achievement levels.
Students should complete all courses (optional and compulsory) successfully and the average grade must be 2.00 out of 4.00 in order to obtain associate’s degree.
