International Trade and Logistics Department offers formal and secondary education programs in Turkish. Students, completed four years of undergraduate program that involves 240 ECTS equivalent of course study and 2.00 minimum GPA score out of 4.00 are granted with the Logistician Bachelors Degree.
Program graduates will receive the degree 'a graduate of International Trade and Logistics Department'.
Atatürk University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of International Trade and Logistics students are with a high school diploma and the Student Selection and Placement Center (SSPC) as a result of examinations required by the YGS and LYS who are accepted type of equal weight. In addition, the Department of International Trade and Logistics after class 2, both vertical transition from the classroom (for graduates of associate degree programs) as well as horizontal transfer (International Trade and Logistics departments of other universities) students are admitted. These transitions are regulated by a directive and students of higher education institutions in different degree programs or diploma programs in higher education institutions of the same, but the number is announced in advance and can switch under the terms of the transition.
The exemption of the students who enroll in our program by horizontal transfer or vertical transfer from the courses they have taken and succeeded in their previous higher education programs is carried out by considering the ECTS or Credit compatibility, especially the content, according to the provisions of the relevant directive. These transactions are reported by the Adaptation Commission in our program.
Students must be successfull in all courses on the programme that are explained education and exam regulation of Ataturk University.
Our program, which consists of two departments named "International Trade" and "Logistics", has 7 academic staff, including 3 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, 1 Doctoral Faculty Member and 2 Research Assistants. We graduate our students with up-to-date and universal knowledge with our curriculum consisting of basic courses such as accounting, marketing, economics, operations research, some law courses, as well as logistics, foreign trade and customs procedures related to our field.
Graduates may work in private sector especially in logistics firms, in fields like finance, industry, foreign commerce, administration, marketing. They also have the opportunity to work in Under secretariat of Treasury, Ministry of Transportation, Under secretariat of the prime ministry for foreign trade, and international institutions.
Undergraduates are eligible to graduate education if they provide the necessary conditions.
One or two mid-term exams, quiz exams, home works and one final exam are required for every class offered at the department. 60% of the final exam and 40% of the other exam grades define the final grade of the class. Student has to meet the requirements defined by the guidelines to be eligible to take the final exam. All exams are graded out of 100 points, and relative grading system is used to determine the student’s success grade. For this purpose, course lecturer converts the mid-term, final exam and other grades to the letter grades by means of a statistical evaluation of these based on the rules defined by the guidelines. Students who can not meet the 2.00 GPA minimum for two consequent semesters are not allowed to enroll the following semester’s classes. Any student who gets AA, BA, BB, CB and CC grades from a course is considered to be successful. On the other hand, DC and DD grades are evaluated based on the student’s cumulative GPA. If student’s cumulative GPA is above the minimum GPA, then student is considered to be successful in all courses with DC and DD grades. FF grade is assigned to a student who is assumed to be unsuccessful in a course. A student with a FF grade in a particular course is supposed to re-register for that course first time it is offered with the same attendance and exam requirements. M and G grades are not accounted through the GPA calculation.
International Trade and Logistics Undergraduate Diploma is awarded to students who successfully complete all the courses they have to take in the education program of the Department of International Trade and Logistics and have a minimum CGPA of 2.00. Curriculum; consists of theoretical lessons and/or applications. In order to graduate, students have to pass a total of 240 ECTS courses.
Undergraduate education is based on face to face.
