Doctorate-Third cycle
Those meeting following criteria are able to apply to doctoral program of Psychiatry Nursing; In accordance with criteria of Higher Education Institution and Atatürk University, Institute of Health Sciences- Graduate from Faculty of Nursing, School of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences and Department of Nursing of Health high-school. For international students, to work for 5 working days • For domestic doctoral students, doctoral students with lateral transfer and IUCP doctoral students, to be graduated from graduate program of Psychiatry Nursing.
Students who have done their Masters degree in Psychiatry Nursing program can be admitted to the program.
To complete compulsory and elective courses successfully; to have a minimum score of 55 from one of the National Foreign Language Exams (ÜDS and KPDS) or to have an equivalent score from international language exams in order to take proficiency exam; to pass the proficiency exam successfully; to complete the Ph.D. dissertation successfully and to defend his/her dissertation successfully.
Dominated by national and international literature in the field of psychiatric nursing, research and education in accordance with the requirements of this literature can practice in the country, producing, creative, modern, planned research in the field of psychiatric nursing, psychiatric nursing has reached the universal qualities of a scientist is to train doctors in the field of science.
Those who graduated from Psychiatry Nursing Ph.D. program primarily become an academician and work in the universities. The other graduates work as manager in related sectors.
No further studies in terms of degree programs.
Success of the student is measured and evaluated through project-papers and final exam.
Students who complete successfully their credit hours determined by Institute of Health Sciences take a proficiency exam at the end of theoretical education. Successful students graduate after making presentation of their dissertations regarding a specific subject.
